For 2.5 years, I've had Shawn Adams keeping me on the path to archery. Once a week. If I didn't feel like it, I just dragged my gear there anyway, and always had an amazing time that I would have missed if I'd flaked. And I'm so much better than before I started with him. Now, a new person'll get to find that out in my spot.
You know, sometimes you need to shake things up a little? I have a high requirement for recreational novelty, as it is. So I got that itchy feeling, and here's the rub: it's time for a new approach to archery. I'm a woman with a plan. It's gonna be a regular trip to the public range to work my stuff out. I'm going to hang out at 30m, a longer walk than at 15m, where I've been comfortably lolling. Take that, complacency! And I've pre-registered for a bunch of tournaments to give me something to work toward.
So, there it is. Spring's bringing me a fresh start to the blog AND a fresh take on archery. And if Steve was susceptible to the siren-call of socializing, I'm sure I'm twice as bad, so if you see me and I'm taking a break that goes on forever, go on and tell me to shut up and step up to the line.
