The William Tell Overture Would Be My Favourite Christmas Carol, If Only...

I went to the One of a Kind Show with my heart set on a sushi tea cozy.  As you can see I thwarted myself.

A few years ago, I spent an evening waffling over the major decision:  should I get a cozy embellished with a felt shrimp sushi or a salmon one?  Either way, I was destined to forever wonder about the path not taken.  I chose salmon.

I guess the salmon looked real enough.  One day my pooch Louis got the cozy off the counter while I was at work.  The salmon was gone when I got back, and I had my excuse to replace it with the shrimp one.

When I got to the booth, I didn't fancy the colour combinations that featured the shrimp, and while Jennifer of TriFly Design rooted through her inventory to find all of the crustaceous cozies, I browsed the shelves.  As she chatted, she mentioned she was going to see the big Katniss movie just as my eyes lit on this apple variant, and I knew I could be happier with this than my original object, if only I had a wee arrow to pierce it with.

This Christmas, I'm wishing with all my little heart for an arrow just about as long as a pencil.

Hint, hint!

I went into Courage My Love, looking for something else, and there they were:D There was a glass full of arrows, actually, and I had to deliberate a bit over the colour.  Thanks, Christopher Wu, for the awesome idea!

Tara Vaughan lives with Rob Cruise and their pooches, Artemis and Louis in the East end of Toronto.  They sort of dabbled in archery for a long time but actually got equipment a couple of years ago.  Tara's loving it and Toronto and - Hey, look!  She has a blog about them.
