Aim them arrows at the ground!
Mike's been swinging his partners from the archery range to the square dance and back again. Last week, he coaxed me and archer Devin into giving Triangle Squares a whirl, and I bumped into them again at Seton with a friendly face I recognized from our promenade to the country dance in the city. That's Kevin there, proudly presenting his cups.
Mike's got a creative way with targets. I've seen him build an inukshuk of bottles and boxes, and he tested an archery poker game a few ways before getting it just so. He's also terrif a luring people to give archery a try. And he keeps it fun by having them aim ground level at funky things. Like a bag of honey dijon chips. Sure, you could open it with your hands, but piercing it with arrows makes it more delicious and you have more time to enjoy them because aiming low and close keeps the arrows easier to find. And then he'll spin you in a do-si-do!
